One of Maryland's "Super Lawyers," Paul Tolzman received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Loyola University of Maryland and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He was admitted to practice before Maryland Courts in 1977. Mr. Tolzman has extensive litigation experience in criminal/DUI defense. In addition, in the personal injury arena, he has recovered over $100 million for his clients. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Maryland Association for Justice, and the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys Association.

In 2008, Mr. Tolzman was named one of Maryland's "Super Lawyers," the highest accolade for a practicing attorney.

A lifelong Marylander, Mr. Tolzman has a deep commitment to environmental causes, especially the restoration and preservation of the Chesapeake Bay. He resides in the Baltimore area with his wife, Karen, their daughter, Lindsay, and their two dogs, Moose and Zena.

Rick Schmidt has extensive experience in virtually all facets of personal injury work, and has recovered literally millions of dollars for his clients. Mr. Schmidt graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. In 1975, he received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland School of Law, where he won the American Jurisprudence Award for Equity. In the 1980s, Mr. Schmidt was chosen by Us Magazine as one of the 35 most promising Americans under the age of 35. Since then, he has co-authored two books, How to Market Your Law Practice (Aspen Press) and Consumer Revenge (G.P. Putnams & Sons). Mr. Schmidt is the founder of the first legal clinic on the East Coast, as well as a founding partner in the first law firm to advertise in Maryland. Additionally, he has appeared on over 50 radio and television shows as both an author and legal commentator.

Mr. Schmidt is a past member of the American and Baltimore City Bar Associations, and has served on both charitable and corporate boards in the Baltimore area. He is married and is father to two active teenagers, Ricky and Tara. His hobbies include sailing, golf and tennis and playing with the family's two French Bulldogs, Romeo and Juliet.

Max Van Orden graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1992. He received his law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1995, passed the Maryland Bar in December of that same year, and has been practicing law exclusively in the state of Maryland ever since. Mr. Van Orden regularly represents individual clients before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland, the Social Security Administration, the Workers' Compensation Commission, and the District and Circuit Courts of Maryland. Currently, Mr. Van Orden is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA) and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR).

Mr. Van Orden was born and raised in New York State. Before embarking on his legal career, he served as a military intelligence analyst for four years, including an 18-month tour in the Republic of (South) Korea. Max Van Orden is married, has two children, and served as a Commissioned Officer in the Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps of the United States Army Reserves.

Robert Frank received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a second major in History from Duke University and earned his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Maryland School of Law. He was admitted to practice before Maryland Courts in 1983.

Austin Brizendine (John) has been involved in personal injury litigation of all types since beginning practice in 1975. He has extensive trial experience in the Circuit and District Courts of Maryland, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. From 1993 - 1995 he headed the Fireman's Fund Insurance Company Staff Counsel Trial Advocate Program. He is a 1975 graduate of the University of Baltimore Law School where he graduated with honors as a member of the Heusiler Honor Society.

Mr. Brizendine is a father and grandfather who enjoys golf, fishing and the outdoors. He an active alumnus of the Boys' Latin School of Maryland and Bowling Green State University (Ohio) where he is member of their respective Athletic Halls of Fame.
