Bus Accident in Rockville Injures Multiple Victims and Causes FatalityMarch 16, 2018
On Thursday evening, a bus accident took place in Rockville, Maryland that caused multiple personal injuries and one fatality. Just before 8 pm, the bus crash occurred when an SUV rear-ended a Ride-On Bus that was carrying ten passengers. The SUV driver became trapped in his car during the bus accident, and after receiving treatment at a local hospital succumbed to his fatal injuries. The 57-year-old bus driver and three passengers went to an area hospital with multiple injuries.
No matter the size of the other vehicle, when a bus accident occurs, the occupants of the bus and passengers and drivers of the other vehicle may be at-risk for a spate of injuries and even fatalities. Due to the size and girth of a large vehicle like a bus, the impact alone could be disastrous. Bus passengers, too, may incur more severe injuries because buses lack the same amount and type of safety features that other vehicles contain.
