Dozen Victims Hospitalized After Truck Collided with Van in FrederickA dozen victims were hospitalized after a pickup truck collided with a commuter van in Frederick, Maryland. Around 7:50 am, on Wednesday morning, the truck accident occurred after the driver of the pickup truck lost control of his vehicle, and then struck a commuter van, which flipped over. Ten occupants of the van were hospitalized for personal injuries, and the truck driver and passenger required medical treatment. One individual was transported to the Shock Trauma unit. Investigators suspect the inclement weather was a factor in the accident where the truck collided with the commuter van.

Oftentimes, poor weather conditions can lead to serious car accidents that cause severe injuries and potential fatalities for car occupants. Snow, ice, and even the smallest amount of black ice builds up on the roads, endangering motorists who must drive on the dangerous surfaces to reach their destinations. If drivers speed or engage in distracted driving or reckless driving, they put themselves at-risk for catastrophic accidents that could bring dire results.
