Fatal Dump Truck Crash Occurs in St. Mary's County

On Wednesday afternoon, a fatal dump truck crash occurred in Mechanicsville, Maryland. Around 2:51 pm, a 26-year-old man from Lexington Park, Maryland was driving a sedan on New Market Road, and drifted toward the center line. His car collided head-on with a dump truck, which was driven by a 60-year-old man from Hollywood, Maryland who tried to avoid the car. The driver of the sedan succumbed to his fatal injuries at the scene of the dump truck crash.
