The accident took place around 8 am when a pickup truck crossed the center line, and struck a dump truck head-on. After the first crash between the trucks, a chain reaction crash, involving four other vehicles, ensued behind the dump truck. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to the Shock Trauma facility in Baltimore, Maryland while another driver was hospitalized for injuries, too. Police suspect that alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the multi-vehicle collision.
