Over 550,000 Recalled Cars Are Driving on Baltimore RoadsMay 10, 2017
According to a new search tool, it is surmised that over 550,000 recalled cars are still driving around on Baltimore roads. Apparently, owners claim they do not know where to locate recall information about their cars. The MotorSafety.org website provides a tool which allows owners to check their car recall status via the vehicle identification number (VIN). If a recall shows up, the website forwards the owner to a local certified car dealer for more information on how to address issues in their recalled cars.
Ignoring a car recall may have dire effects if the driver continues to use the car, and the defect is serious. The driver, passengers, and other drivers in the car’s path may be at-risk for developing personal injuries or, in extreme cases, fatalities due to a faulty part that malfunctions and causes an accident.
