Dog Fatally Attacks Infant in LusbyMarch 24, 2017
A dog fatally attacked an eight-month-old infant in Lusby, Calvert County, Maryland, on Thursday afternoon. Family friends were watching the baby when the dog attacked him around 1 pm. The police arrived immediately, saw the dog attack the boy, and used deadly force to stop the dog. Unfortunately, the baby succumbed to his injuries in the attack. An investigation will commence.
Families treasure their pets, but animals are volatile creatures who may attack with no provocation. In some cases, some breeds are difficult to restrain during an attack, which puts individuals at-risk for personal injuries and potential fatalities. A brutal dog attack may also inflict psychological damage on individuals who may suffer for the rest of their lives.
