Baltimore Bus Accident Lawyers: School Bus Company Suspended

Upon further investigation of the Baltimore bus crash that caused two fatalities and multiple injuries, sources say that the Baltimore school bus company involved was suspended. Last year, AAAffordable Transportation LLC, the company that owns the school buses, was suspended from providing charter bus rides due to financial and administrative, not safety, violations such as failing to file the proper paperwork and paying modest civil penalties to the state of Maryland. None of this affected their contract with the Baltimore City Public Schools.

According to AAAffordable owner, Mark Williams, the school bus company driver was in good health as of June when he passed the annual physical. Despite previous convictions for assault, violating protective orders, and vehicle registration violations, the bus driver’s records were good. As for the bus company’s safety record, the last crash involving their company occurred four years ago. No further comments were available, and the investigation continues.

The Baltimore bus crash involving a school bus company and commuter bus service shows how deadly bus accidents can be.
